 My video is about me saying the things I have done in the Web Design Academy, I have a brief description of what I said in my video. I am giving a brief description of what we did in the sophomore year and what we did in our junior year. For this Lab 30 we had to add cue points so popups could pop up for certain parts in our video. I added 7 popups from key things/ key programs I learned from my two years in CTE Web Design Academy. This was a challenging Lab for me because i couldn't get the video to work. then when i convert the video it still wasn't working and finally i had to re convert it and i had to add the cue points to the certain parts in my scene for the popups to pop up when the video is playing.

               My video is about me saying the things I have done in the Web Design Academy, I have a brief description of what I said in my video. I am giving a brief description of what we did in the sophomore year and what we did in our junior year.In my sophomore year we learned how to create what it takes to be a Visual Designer, I learned how to use Adobe Photoshop CS6 were we learned how to edit an image and add affects to it after Photoshop we learned about Adobe InDesign CS6 were we learned how to create a business card from scratch. Now in my junior year in Digital Design were we learned this new language called coding and we learned about Textedit where we learned to write out my code, we also learned about Filezila were we learned how to upload my work to the server, we also learned about Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 were their we learned how to insert images and swf flies and finally we learned about Adobe Flash CS6 were we learned about action script and were we learned how to make animations, interactive storyboards and a video game to. This is what we learned threw out my two years in the Web Design Academy.

Project 7 Reflection

     This is my Project 7 Reflection for Project 7 we had to make our Flash Portfolio, in our Flash Video Portfolio we have to import our Labs and Projects that we did in Adobe Flash CS6. For this I create 3 buttons the first one is called Home, second one is Labs and the third one is Projects. I made the Home button when you click on it it will take you to my index homepage. For my Labs button, I made sure when you click on it it takes you to scene 2 and it will display buttons for Lab16 threw 30 and when you click on one of them it will take you to one of my Labs, I did the same thing to my projects button when you click on it, it will take you to scene 3 and display buttons for Projects 4,5,6 and when you click on one of them it will show you my project. I added another button called back to home when you go to the Labs or Projects scene and you want to go back you click on the button it takes you back to the Homepage of my Project 7. The challenging part of this Project 7 was getting the buttons and getting the links to work correctly and take you to either my Labs work that are from 16-30 or my Projects thats from 4-6.  Overall this was a good final project because we got to apply some of our skills that we learned from our time working in Adobe Flash CS6.     

Synopsis

              The last video I saw from the soft skill video was about synopsis . It was summing up all the videos we saw in like the Professionalism, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Communication, Enthusiasm and Attitude, Teamwork and, Networking. The synopsis was showing us why we need all these skills for our jobs or any kind of business job you are working in our applying for or in my case why it will be helpfully to apply these skills in Digital Design. When we need all these skills and to be good people in our jobs. I learned that all these skills will help us be good in the future wherever we will be we need to remember these skills because they will help us succeed and how this skills helped us last year in Visual Design and this year in Digital Design. That's what I learned from the soft skill video about synopsis and all the other videos I saw today.

Enthusiasm and Attitude

          The other video we saw from soft skills was about Enthusiasm and Attitude in your job, business, and school. This video was showing us how to act when we are going for a job interview or any kind of  business jobs you want to go to. You need to have a positive attitude and show your future boss that you are ready and are ready to learn. You also need to have a positive enthusiasm and be ready and willing to face the challenges ahead in your job and challenges your boss will throw at you. This year in Digital Design I learned that you need to be enthusiasm about the things you get grades you get and have a good attitude because that's what some people will judge you on if you have a good Enthusiasm and Attitude in things you will do. Thats what I learned from the Enthusiasm and Attitude video in soft skills.

Communication

        The other video I saw had to do with communication skills. It was talking about how we can improve our communication skills in our jobs, business, and school. It was saying how when don't notice ourselves when we write or talk that we are abbreviating words to people we talk to or to our papers we write. It also said that if we don't work on our communication skills people we talk to, write to, or text won't understand what we are talking about and they will be confused. I learned last year that communication skills was very important in Visual Design and that was my weakest part of me this year in Digital Design I could say I've improved my communication skills a little more that they were last year. Communication skills is very important because thats how you need to communicate with others in your class to get things done and you can all be on the same page.That was what we saw in the video about communication skills in the soft skills video.

Critical Thinking and Problem solving

        The forth video I saw was about critical thinking and problem solving. I learned that it is good to be an active thinker because you can find ways to solve problems that you think have no solution. I also learned that for every problem we have our ways we can always find an solution to, you can even ask people to help you. For example in Visual Design I remember that I had lot's of problem with Photoshop CS6 and I ask for help. This year I remember running into a problem in my project 5 which was in Adobe Flash CS6 and I remember  asking for advice on how to fix it, they can and help me fix it, they help me think of a solution to my problem. That's what i learned from the soft skill video about critical thinking and problem solving.

Teamwork

         The third video I saw has to do with Teamwork and how it is important to succeed. I learned that when we do things as a team and one person from our work place or school wants to give us all the credit for the project we don't take all the credit we make sure we tell them the people that help us. I also learned that working as a team is good because we have lots of ideas and we will finish the work together. Also last year in Visual Design I learned that Teamwork was very important because for our finally project we had to work together brain storm together all of our ideas to see how we were gonna do this project and what our layout was gonna be for the final. In digital Design teamwork is very important because we help each other out with stuff we find hard and can't do it we asked for help because as a team anything can be done. That was what I learned from the soft skill video about teamwork and working together as a team.

Professionalism

  The second video I watch had to with professionalism. I learned that if we have a job or work for a business company we have to have lots of professionalism in that job. Which means come to work on time and do as you are told or do things that you know will be told and avoid the boss coming to you telling you what to do or how to do it every time. I also learned that we have to have great eye contact with our boss and our co-workers at anytime and especially during work time. What I also learned was that you also have to be well dressed and ready to work. I also learned that Professionalism just dosen't apply to when you are working but when you are in school, because this year we had a trip were we had to dress professional and this is good because you give a good image to the person you are with and they will think that he is dress and you didn't have to come dress for this trip without telling the teacher i also learned because last year in visual design we had to dress up when we had to present our project so we can get use to it when we have to present stuff to people at a job, internship or wherever you will be. That was what I learned from watching the video in soft skill about professionalism.

Networking

    The first video I just saw had to do with networking and I can say that I learned that networking can really help you a lot when you are searching for a job or anything in specific or it can even help you find internship opportunities, networking is a very helpfully thing because with networking you can accomplish lot's of things for example I use networking for my works in Adobe Flash, Dreamweaver, and other things like looking for jobs, internship and know to research some colleges. I learned that networking is helpfully in a way because today most of your jobs you will have to deal with some sort of networking to get things done, with networking you can do lots of things like organize fills or fill papers lots of things today are done threw networking. That's was what I learned from soft skills video about networking.

Project 5

       For my project 5 I had to make an interactive storyboard so the topic i wanted to do on was helping a person get to their destination. I have made 5 scenes to my project it starts off with the person you will help get to its destination it wants to go to the movie theaters and the person dosen't know how to get there. For me the hardest part of this Project 5 was getting the action script to work on all my scenes because when I had a final product and tested the movie in Adobe Flash CS6 it wasn't working at all and when i troubleshoot my problem which was that i had the action script on frame 1 and when it wanted to play it would allow the other layers play because the went beyond that frame 1 so what I was moved the Action Script to frame 60 and when I applied this to my other scenes and I saved my work and went to test it it was working for me good. Doing this project was a good experience for me because it will get me ready for my next project which it will be to make a video game.

Computer Science Career Fair

             Our second trip in the spring term we went to was to the Computer Science Fair in the Armory Track in Manhattan. This trip was a good trip because their were some colleges their and some companies like Facebook, Google, Microsoft etc. This was a good trip for me because I went and asked them if they had internships or summer internships. Two places I went to and asked if they had internships was Facebook and Google because those are two places were one day I would like to work for, so I asked them if they had internships or summer internships they said the yes for the summer of my senior year so i'll pay attention to that. Also I went to some colleges that were there and I asked what programs they were offering to major in and some had the programs I was interested in and looking forward to visiting their college. This was a good trip because I got the time to visit some companies and some colleges and fid some information about them.      

The New York Historical Society

        We had a trip to The New York Historical Society were we went inside the Silicon City part of the museum to look at some old technology inventions like the The Punched Card System, this was an invention to help people in the 1980s collect data on how many people are living in the country, city, this was a faster way to collect this data because before this they had a bunch of people sitting around collecting and connecting all the data, this invention help them collect Data 3 times faster than having the people sitting around and doing it by their selfs. I saw some other interesting stuff in this part of the museum like the first video arcade game called Space Invaders. When I saw this I went to it and I started playing it, it was a good game I enjoyed it a lot. This trip to the The New York Historical Society was a good trip I enjoyed this trip.     

Lab 27

          This is my LAB 27 for Lab 27 I opened up my Lab 26 I made before and I opened it in Flash and I saved it as Lab 27. Then I created two graphic symbols and they are both labeled as Finish were you either win the game or lose the game. I also resized my ball to make it a little smaller so you can move it around. I also resized my controllers and moved them to the bottom left corner of the screen. This was a really challenging lab for me because I had trouble making the Finish line work and take you to my other scenes like Try Again scene or Good Job you won scene. For this lab to work I have to added a new code towards the bottom of my scene one, with that code being added their it shall work. I needed help for this lab because the code I added was not working so I had to rewrite the whole code again and I solved my problem, then my Lab 27 was finally working.

Lab 26

            This is my Lab 26 for Lab 26 we had to create a shape, the shape I created was a circle. the next step in this Lab was to create a control I create the control by making four triangles, then I had to make sure that each triangle in the control panel had a working function so they could go Up, Down, Left, and Right. Finally after this I had to added code to this lab so the control panel could work/ control the ball so at the end you could move the ball just by using the the controller on the top right. Finally the hardest part of this lab for me was adding code so that you could move the ball just by using the keyboard arrows. This was hard because the code I typed was wrong so I had to go back and look at the problem then I had to fix this problem. After I fix my problem I saved my work and I went to test this Lab and it was working for me. The hardest part for me was learning the new code and applying it to the lab.

Lab 25

     This is my Lab 25 for Lab 25 we had to create two two buttons that will take you from home to page 2. The two buttons I made, I used the circle tool to make them and I colored them black. This was something new we learned in Adobe Flash CS6 so at first this was challenging for me because I couldn't find a way to get it to work, I need to find the problem I had and I have to trouble shoot this problem and my problem was that in the properties I didn't give the circle one or two a name than I named the circle_btn and after this I saved this and I click command enter and I tested my lab too see if everything was working fine and it was finally working. The most hard part about this lab was getting the new code I learned to worked and getting the buttons to work.

Lab 24

       For Lab 24 we had to create a mask layer from our old lab which was lab 23,  to do this I opened lab 23 and I imported some of my stuff from lab 23 and i tried to make the road a mask+tween but when I finally finished it came out really bad i tried fixing it but when I fixed it then the mask+tween would not work at the end of it when I wanted to play it, it would not work the mask+tween was not working so I just tried trouble shoot this problem but it wasn't working for me so I just submitted what I have. Overall I had a lot of trouble with this Lab 24 because I couldn't do the mask+tween correctly.

Lab 23

      For Lab 23 we were learning about vanishing lines and how to incorporate them to our labs and for this we creating a drawing and we made the roads vanish once it kept going farther from the starting point. I first create the road and afterwards I made th sun in the background with the color of the sky which I made light blue I also added a green color near the road that is representing the grass area near the road I also added buildings in the far part of the road which will make the viewer look that the car is coming and leaving the city. I also got an image of the real car I used in the left of the lab and I went to Photoshop CS6 and I cut of the background that came with that car I also made my own car to the right of the lab which is color blue black and the back lights are red. This lab was easy but I didn't use time management well so I couldn't add more things that I want to add in this lab.

CTE Expo

                                                               CTE Expo 2016

          The CTE Expo was taken on Thursday March, 10, 2016 and we were presenting our work to the freshman and explaining to them what were the steps to make those labs and projects. We had to talk to the freshman and tell them about the Web Design Program. We explained to the Freshman what did we do when when we first started in Web Design we started in Visual Design and we explained to them how we started working in Photoshop CS6 and we made most of our Labs, and Projects in Photoshop CS6, then we started working in InDesign CS6 where we made one of the most hard projects in my mind which was the Business Card Project.
     Then I explained to the freshman about how we started Digital Design and how we started learning code and all the different codes there is to make a webpage. Then we told them how we learned how to use Filezale and Textedit, then we told them how we had to create our on website page and we had to place all of our Labs, and Projects to that webpage. We also told them the different things we learned in Digital Design and how we learned CSS and how to add it to our labs and projects. Overall the CTE Expo this year was a good experience and we interacted with all the freshman and we hope they join the Web Design.

Lab 22

       For Lab 22 we had to create sounds for all the buttons I created in lab 20. For lab 22 I imported all the buttons from lab 20 to lab 22 and I had to make sure all the graphic buttons were working. All the sounds I created and I'm currently using for this lab comes from Garage Band. I used different musical instruments sounds to but in my 10 of my graphic symbols. This was a hard Lab to do because I had a lot of hard time making the sounds and making them work on my Lab 22 and when you click down.

Project 4

   This is the final product of what I created for Project 4. For Project 4 we had to create a small movie clip that has the theme of Respect For All in it. To create this project I used Adobe Flash CS6 and I created 3 scenes in it and everything that is included in each scene was created by me and it took me a lot of work to make and a lot of patient to make. The theme of my project was racism and how this one kid got bullied by 3 kids because of his skin color. I choose that theme because there is still kids out there that get bullied based on their skin color and where they are from to and everyone deserves a chance in life, you can't just judge them basked on their skin color or where they are from everyone needs to be treated equally.This project was hard to do for me because it took a lot of time to make and I was struggling to make the people at the beginning.

Lab 21

            This is my Lab 21 for this Lab we had to convert all of our lab 19 graphic symbols we made which were 10 in total and we had to convert them to movie clips. To do this we imported the library from Lab 19 to Lab 21, once we did that we right click on the images and we convert them to movie clips. Once they were movie clips I right click the image and i started working in each layer and making them move or do what I want them to do. I inserted a keyframe in 30 and I also added a motion tween to each movie clip image I created. After I was done converting all the graphic symbols to movie clips I click command enter and I saw my final outcome of how it looks all together.

Lab 20

For Lab 20 what I did was I got all the symbols I created in Lab 19 and I moved them to Lab 20 and once I did that I had to convert all my graphic symbols to button symbols so they can move when you move your mouse up, down, and over one of my images. I had to convert all my 10 graphic symbol images I created in Lab 19 to Button symbols for Lab 20. To convert my graphic image to a button symbol I right clicked on the graphic symbol and I convert to a button symbol once I did that I inserted a keyframe to Up, Down, Over and Hit and for there I moved around my image and I resized them too so you can see differece from the first button image that is shown. This wasn't a hard lab for me it was actually easy to do because I imported my library from Lab 19 and it made it so easy to get started and all I had to do was convert the graphic symbols to buttons that was it.

          This is my Lab 16.5 I imported an image of a pencil I got of the internet and in opened it first in Adobe Photoshop CS6 and I selected the pencil only with out the white background and I saved it as a different name and I then opened the new pencil document called pencil 2.0 in Adobe Flash CS6. From Adobe Flash CS6 I drew two new pencils I used the rectangle tool, the pencil tool, and the paint bucket tool too. As you would see my first drawing of the pencil came out ok then when i did the second drawing I put a little more detail in it and it was better than the first one I made and finally I put a hyperlink to give the copyright to were I got the pencil image from.

          For Lab 19 we had to create 10 graphic symbols with 3 of them them being plants, 3 of them being animals, 3 of them being different kind of objects and the last one being any kinf you want it was your choice. The first 3 plants i made was 2 pot plants and 1 tree. for the 3 animals I chose a panda, worm, and a fish. The 3 objects i choose to create was an airplane, sun, and a lightpole and the last object that I created was a donut. When I has done creating all the animals, plants, objects and one other object I had to have in total 10 graphic symbols and all of them I create I had to make them a graphic symbol.

             This was the most stressfull lab ever for me I was struggling a lot to finish to finish this lab and to copy the face to other times. The first thing i did was make the face for the face i had to make two eyeballs then i made the mouth. After that I made the mouth of the face become a smile then i edite the whole face so it could be big then become a little small. Afterwards I copyied the orignal two more times and I did a small edit two the other two faces to.

       This is my Lab 17 which we did in Adobe Flash CS6 and we had to create a ball that will be bouncing around. This lab included 3 parts to it the first part was the regular bouncing ball then next to it going at Slow speed and next to it the same ball but it is going at Fast speed. The second part of this lab was we had to add two more balls in total we would have 5 balls and it is showing it's path that it is going on. Then the third and final step we had to do we changed the path the way the ball was going in I curved it starting from the top right ending in the bottom middle.

Project 3

Project 3 that we did in class was about our favorite teacher from our school. The teacher I chose for project 3 is Mr.King he is one of the U.S History and Global Studies teachers at Information Technology High School. I chose Mr.King because he was one of the teachers I had in 10^th grade for Global Studies I had him for two terms and I really enjoyed having him as a teacher. Mr.King is one of my favorite teachers in this school because he is a cool, and fun teacher to have. I used Dreamweaver CS6 and Fireworks CS6 for project 3.  First to create this project I create 4 html document pages with different names (Home, Bio, Fun Facts, Contact Info).  So in my homepage for this project I added a NY Islanders background because that is Mr.King favorite team, I made sure that the background also appeared in the bio page, fun facts page and contact info page. In the home page I also had the wordle image I create in wordle.com with the 150 describing my teacher, I also added a picture of the teacher, a banner of the teachers name, a table with my name, class and project number, finally what I added to my homepage and I made sure it was in the other 3 pages is the navigation bar that will take you to the bio page, fun facts page and contact info page. In the bio page I added a picture of my teacher Mr.King and a biography of my teacher, what I also had was a banner saying Bio page and navigation bar . In my Fun Facts page I had a banner and a text box with a list of fun facts about Mr.King. And finally in my Contact Info page I had a banner and a table chart with inside having my teachers contact info, and what class he could be located in. To create my banner's for the homepage, bio page, fun facts page and contact info page I used Fireworks CS6 and I create a new document page and I used the rectangle tool two times the first one is color orange the second one is color blue, then I used the text tool to write the text I want to but in the banner. To create the text box you see in my project 3 I used the textarea style html code and I put size I wanted the text box to be, the size I used is 600px height and 450px width. For me the challenging part of this project was adding the navigation bar to each page in my project.

Lab 15

         For lab 15 we had to create three different kinds of pop up menus. We had to have all three different one of dropdown menus, this lab was a fun lab for me because we got to learn all the different dropdowns and what they do and how they work. My personal favorite dropdown  is the one with the image and it opens a small image on the dropdown when you hover over it. The most hard part of this lab was getting all the dropdown menus to work and to get my navigation bar on top of this to work and go back to my homeindex and projects and labs to.To my lab 15 I have added css so it could consist of color with the rest of my old labs.

Lab 14

        For this lab 14 we were tasked to create Navigation Bars so we could later apply the navigation bars to our labs index and our project index and to our project 3 we will start soon. The code i will use for this Lab 14 is the ul code and the li code to. As you can see I made the navigation bar going vertical and inside the navigation bar I but 4 boxes insdie them going from top to bottom I wrote Homepage, Bio, Contact, and Fun Fact. I made the background of the navigation bar maroon the color of the text is sky blue, then when you hover over each one I but the color to be sky blue with red text color on the words

Lab 13

   For Lab 13 we had to write 150 words about our favorite teacher, My favorite teacher in our school is Mr.King. To start Lab 13 I first wrote all my 150 words in Microsoft Word after I finished writing it in Word I copy and paste the 150 words to Wordle. To create the Wordle file I went to Wordle.net and then I clicked on create and I paste all my 150 words there. The final step for me was choosing the right layout for the words. After that I took a screenshot and I paste in the Lab 13 html file. That is what I did for Lab 13 about your favorite teacher.

Lab 12 reflection

     For me the year of 2015 was wild roller coaster ride because I had lot's of up's and down's. In the year of 2015 I had lot's of good moments like my older sister's baby being born, and my cousin coming from Ecuador to. My downside of 2015 was that I didn't get to go to Ecuador and my mom's grandma died at the age of 100. But overall 2015 was a average year for me. My New Year's Resloution for 2016 is to be a better older brother and to get a good score in my SAT score. What I need to do to achieve my first resolution of being a better brother is I have to be more respectful and talk back to my parents because I am my little sister's role model and she will do the same things I did just because I do it. To achieve my second resoultion I need to take some tutoring classes for the SAT exam and take some practice test to see how i do and what I can improve in to help my score go up.
